On the final J-Talk for 2012 I was joined by Sean Carroll as we ran through all of the games on a monumental final day.
This 80 minute podcast runs in two parts, and as well as covering each game in detail I also got Sean's thoughts on how all of the clubs performed throughout the season:
Part 1 The Relegation Dogfight: (to 40:35)
Niigata v Sapporo (to 12:15) - Niigata's great escape
Iwata v Gamba Osaka (24:00) - Gamba's first-ever relegation
Kobe v Hiroshima (34:00) - Kobe join their Kansai rivals in J2
Cerezo Osaka v Kawasaki (40:35) - Cerezo do just enough to hang on.
Part 2 The ACL Race & Others: (to end - 80:08)
Urawa v Nagoya (47:45) - Reds deservedly take the ACL spot
Yokohama v Tosu (57:10) - Yokohama end Tosu's ACL dream
Kashima v Kashiwa (63:30) - Reysol miss out on ACL return
FC Tokyo v Sendai (70:20) - flat Vegalta smashed by Gasmen
Shimizu v Omiya (73:25) - nothing on the line and it showed.
At the end of the episode we wrapped up the table before I said a few thank yous and signed off.
